This image of Venus was captured by NASA's Magellan spacecraft using radar to see beneath the planet's thick layer of clouds. This global view of the surface is centered at 180 degrees east longitude. This mosaic image was assembled from a large number of smaller images produced by the spacecraft as it orbited the planet.
