Branch Coral on Reef
Believe it or not this is not a plant. It is a coral, which is made up of hundreds of tiny animals living together in a colony. This is one of the more common coral species found on a typical reef. Corals like these can be seen waving their delicate branches as the tides come and go. The tides bring microscopic plankton, which provide food for the corals. |
