Gorgonian Wrapper
The gorgonian wrapper (Nemanthus annamensis), also known as the zebra striped gorgonian wrapper, is a species of sea anemone found in the central Indo-Pacific Ocean. It is known for the stark black stripes found on its white base. The tentacles can be white, yellowish or orange, variegated with dark patches. The oral disc of this species is semi-transparent. This small anemone has been found in association with the sponge crab Lauridromia intermedia. The crab carries the anemone around with it as a form of camouflage.
