Pacific Octopus
The Pacific octopus is one of the largest species of octopus. It can grow up to 16 feet in length and weigh as much as 90 pounds. This creature can change colors and skin textures to camouflage itself when hunting for prey, such as crabs, shrimp, and fish. The Pacific octopus is found throughout the coastal North Pacific, including California, Oregon, Washington, British Columbia, Alaska, Russia, northern Japan and Korea.
